yesterday's medicine
One thing is universally needed for all of us to heal – each other.
Our ancestors cultivated communities that flourished by the simple act of gathering around a fire. The campfire was our original social network where we were able to connect and share stories. Some of our most basic needs are strengthened by gathering – sharing traditions, failures, successes, and hope.
WHAT WE’RE ABOUT
Centuries ago, we shaped our cultures by prioritizing our desire and ability to understand one another and to cooperate with a shared vision pointing us in the direction we wanted to go – together.
today's science
Belonging to a community contributes to good health and longevity.
Scientists agree that our social relationships and belonging to community can have a range of health benefits including improvement in our mental health, physical health, health habits, and mortality risk.
WHAT WE know
Today’s digital social programming separates and divides us. Belonging to a community can combat feelings of separation and isolation, and create inner experiences of harmony and belonging. Experiencing a sense of wholeness in a community allows for healing, and that is what Fringe is all about.
Yesterday’s Medicine, Today’s Science

where we have always belonged.
